Who we are
DAR DOUHA (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a guesthouse and riad (maison d’hôtes). This Privacy Policy explains, in plain terms, what information we collect through http://localhost:3000 and when you enquire about or stay with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
By using our website or engaging our services you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or share information with us. We aim to meet the standards of the EU/UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, and Morocco’s Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data.
Information you give us
We collect information you choose to share with us, such as when you send an enquiry, book a room, or eat at our table:
- Contact details — name, email address and phone number.
- Booking details — your dates, the number of guests, room preference, arrival time and transfer needs.
- Stay information — dietary requirements, accessibility needs and any excursion or service you ask us to arrange.
- Identity & registration data — the guest details Moroccan law requires accommodation providers to record on check-in.
- Correspondence — the content of emails, messages and calls about your stay.
We only ask for what a given enquiry or stay reasonably requires.
Information collected automatically
When you browse http://localhost:3000, our hosting and analytics providers automatically collect limited technical data to keep the site secure and working correctly:
- Device & browser information — browser type, operating system and screen size.
- Network & approximate location — IP address and the coarse region/country derived from it (not precise GPS).
- Usage data — pages viewed, referring page and general navigation patterns.
This site does not use advertising trackers or sell browsing data to third parties.
How we use your information
- Respond to enquiries and confirm availability, rates and bookings.
- Host your stay — prepare your room, serve meals and arrange transfers or excursions you request.
- Record guest details on check-in as required of accommodation providers under Moroccan law.
- Maintain records required for accounting, tax and regulatory purposes.
- Operate, secure and improve our website.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to:
- Host your stay — for example with the drivers, guides, cooks or partner venues arranging a service you asked for, with your knowledge.
- Engage service providers (hosting, email, payment, accounting) bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Comply with a legal, regulatory or judicial request — including guest registration required of accommodation providers — or to protect our rights and prevent fraud.
Any disclosure beyond what is needed for your enquiry or stay requires your consent.
Data retention
We keep contact and booking information for as long as needed to respond to you or host your stay, and afterwards only as long as required for accounting, tax, regulatory or legitimate business-record purposes. Website usage data collected by our hosting/analytics providers is retained for a limited period and then aggregated or deleted.
Security & international transfers
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Because our booking, email and hosting providers may operate outside Morocco, limited data may be processed abroad; we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.
Children
Children are welcome to stay with us as part of a family booking, but our website is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from them. Details about children travelling with you are provided by the adult making the booking. If you believe a child has provided us data directly, contact us at dardouhapro@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data, subject to our record-keeping and legal obligations.
- Object to or restrict certain uses of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at dardouhapro@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here. For any question or request about your privacy, contact DAR DOUHA at dardouhapro@gmail.com.
